Hotel June Malibu

We stayed at Hotel June for a couple of nights in January while visiting family, and it completely lived up to the relaxed, thoughtful vibe it’s going for. It felt calm, intentional, and tasteful - not just a place to sleep, but a place connected to its surroundings and stories. Kieran at the front desk was truly outstanding. He was always gracious and welcoming, and I genuinely felt that he enjoyed being there and connecting with guests. I never once felt like I was bothering him (which is rare and so refreshing compared to other hotels). Whether sharing local recommendations or just chatting, he made the experience feel personal and unhurried, and really embodies the spirit of the hotel. The rooms were simple, clean, and quietly luxurious — great bath products, snacks, a yoga mat, and even a hammock on the porch made it feel intentional and comfortable without being overdone. I felt very safe during my stay (there’s 24/7 security), though my only small suggestions would be adding a light switch by the bed and a deadbolt on the door for extra peace of mind. Overall, a hidden gem with a great vibe. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Visit this area often and have passed this place a million times but never stopped in. We went by to check it out and met the manager, Ciaran, who showed us around and couldn’t have been nicer. Looking forward to staying here on one of our next trips!

Enjoyed a wonderful weekend with friends at the Hotel June Malibu. The rooms were sparse but stylish with nice toiletries and a stocked snack fridge. Beds were very comfy and room was clean. The staff were so kind - helping us get extra towels, turn the pool on etc. We are breakfast people and the tea/coffee plus gourmet pastries/juices in the morning were perfect for starting the day. The hotel is right on the PCH but the noise was not bad at all. And the overall vintage vibe of the building and lobby was fun and unique. Garden was perfect for enjoying a bit of outside time. We all agreed we would stay there again if in Malibu!

The staff are informed and friendly. Bare bones accommodations. I can see why this place is promoted as a place for meditation workshops. The transformation from an older cinder block motel to trendy chic is great. Unfortunately,the lighting (in the rooms) is not task lighting. The light in the bathroom wasn't very bright. I kept going to the daylight window and the mirror on the bathroom door to see ( that was a plus!). Breakfast was not included, but it was nice to find croissants and baguettes as well as freshly made peach jam. Unfortunately, the second day, the baguettes were from the day before; a bit chewy. Patio area for breakfast and relaxing was lovely. We didn't use the pool, though it was lovely and private. It is conveniently located to everything in Malibu. Just expected more for the hefty price tag.

Really enjoy this hotel. It’s quaint and very comfortable. Great coffee in the morning. Slightly loud cause right next to highway 1 but not bad and good value! Close to point Dume and other lively spots in dreamy Malibu

Considering there aren’t many hotels to choose from in this area, Hotel June is a fine option. The rooms are cute and it seems they make a huge effort in the little details to make up for the location right on PCH and strict Malibu ordinances shutting the pool down at sunset. The staff is so incredibly sweet, polite, and helpful. I think the perfect price point for the larger rooms would be $375-$400/night and smaller rooms $275-$300/night. It’s nice to be so close to a grocery store and cafe, though not safe to walk on the side of PCH. But you could get dinner at an Italian restaurant across the street! Mattresses were really nice for a hotel! All in all, it was a nice experience. Just slightly pricey for amenities offered.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel June! Shania at the front desk was so welcoming, offering suggestions on things to do and eat in the area. The pool area was really nice and the pool itself was heated, almost felt like a hot tub! The room itself was modern but cozy. It had everything you need, and offered plenty of snacks and drinks. There’s even a little patio in the back with chairs and a hammock! The hotel is right off Pacific Coast Highway but you can’t hear the traffic (only frogs at night which was honestly peaceful). There’s complimentary coffee and also snacks for purchase in the lobby. The location is really close to Point Dume and Paradise Cove, as well as other great beaches in Malibu. I would stay here again in the future!
